My recent stay at Gasthof Hametner in Ober Austria was a delightful experience that truly struck a chord with my history-loving soul. The family-run atmosphere made for an incredibly warm welcome from Barbara and her team, who treated us like long-lost friends from the moment we arrived. Our room was a lovely blend of modern comfort and charming traditional decor, complete with a cozy seating area and a flat-screen TV-perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the local history. The breakfast buffet was a culinary highlight, featuring fresh rolls, fruits, and a selection of delicious Austrian hams and cheeses that set the tone for our daily adventures. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, as they even catered to early risers like us, ensuring we had breakfast ready before our early excursions. While climbing the stairs with luggage was a bit of a workout, the stunning view from our room and the lovely garden made it worthwhile. the close proximity to the Mediterranea Therme and beautiful cycling trails meant we could easily immerse ourselves in both relaxation and exploration-an ideal combination for my travels. I wholeheartedly recommend Gasthof Hametner; it truly embodies the charm and hospitality of Austria that I adore.
